Ingredients

  • 2 cups crushed ice preferably finely crushed for smoothness
  • 1/2 cup blue raspberry syrup or flavoring concentrate
  • 1 cup cold water
  • 2 tsp lime juice optional, enhances tartness

Equipment

  • Blender
  • drinking glasses

Method

  1. Pour all the crushed ice into the blender, filling it about halfway.
  2. Stir in the blue raspberry syrup and cold water, then add the lime juice if using.
  3. Secure the lid on the blender and blend on high for about 30-45 seconds, until the mixture is smooth and has a slushy, icy texture.
  4. Stop the blender and check the texture; if it's too thick, add a little more water and blend briefly to loosen it up.
  5. Pour the slushie into chilled glasses, allowing it to mound up with a vibrant blue color.
  6. Serve immediately with a straw or spoon, enjoying the icy, tart flavor and bright appearance.

Notes

You can customize the sweetness level by adjusting the amount of blue raspberry syrup. For extra fun, add a splash of lemon or lime juice for more tartness.
