Method
- Cook the spaghetti in a large pot of boiling salted water according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumb, egg, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well incorporated.
- Form the mixture into small meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter, and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sear the meatballs, turning occasionally, until browned on all sides and cooked through, about 8–10 minutes.
- Pour marinara sauce into the skillet with the meatballs. Reduce heat to low and let simmer for 10 minutes, allowing flavors to meld and sauce to thicken slightly.
- Arrange the cooked spaghetti on serving plates. Spoon a generous amount of marinara sauce over the pasta.
- Place a meatball on top of the pasta and sauce. Add a mozzarella cheese ball on top of each meatball to resemble an eyeball.
- Cut a black olive in half and place each half on top of the mozzarella to create a pupil. Repeat for all eyeballs to create a spooky, eerie effect.
- Garnish with extra sauce or herbs if desired. Serve immediately to enjoy the playful, creepy presentation.
Notes
For added fun, use different colored olives or add extra toppings like chopped herbs or red pepper flakes for a spicy touch.
