Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh pineapple chunks preferably chilled
  • 1 cup ice cubes crushed or whole
  • 2 tbsp honey or agave syrup adjust sweetness as desired
  • 1 tbsp lime juice freshly squeezed for best flavor

Equipment

  • Blender
  • Knife

Method

  1. Measure out the chilled pineapple chunks and place them into your blender.
  2. Add the ice cubes on top of the pineapple in the blender.
  3. Pour in the honey or agave syrup and squeeze in the lime juice, boosting the tropical flavor.
  4. Secure the lid on the blender and blend on high until the mixture is smooth, thick, and slushy, about 30-45 seconds. Listen for the blending sound to become even and consistent.
  5. Check the texture; if it's too thick to blend smoothly, add a splash of water or more lime juice and blend briefly to loosen.
  6. Pour the icy pineapple mixture into glasses, and serve immediately for the best, frosty texture.
  7. Garnish with a small pineapple wedge or a sprig of mint for an inviting presentation.

Notes

Make sure to chill your pineapple for a more refreshing slushie. Adjust the sweetness and lime for your preferred zing. Serve immediately to enjoy the icy texture at its best.
